MK1 Kombat Kast: Krossplay, Wi-Fi Filter, New Moves, And More
Kombat Kast showed off some nice updates for Mortal Kombat 1

The recent Kombat Kast featured a lot of new information that Mortal Kombat 1 fans, and people who have been holding off on the game, might find exciting.

The biggest news of them all is that Krossplay is finally coming in February 2024, allowing PC, PS5, and Xbox players to finally beat each other up. On Twitter (currently X), Ed Boon also clarified that Wi-Fi filter should be coming today, allowing you to decline poor connections.

Moving onto more pinpoint changes:

  • Kano's laser is now a mid
  • Sonya's energy rings are also mids
  • Kung Lao's hat is no longer plus when used point-blank

Invasion will feature a new seasonal tower with exclusive palettes. The complaints about lack of intros in single player is also getting addressed, so now you will be seeing a lot more of that, albeit not for every single fight.

Now, there won't be a new Mesa to see in this new season of Invasion, but existing ones will essentially get remixed with new layouts and content to feel more fresh.

Smaller changes include nice little touches like a better difficulty curve for the towers (the criticism was that they started out with challenging mini-bosses and then just got easier), and boss fights will feature more intense music to get you going.

As for the overall theme, Sub-Zero will be the invader this time around, so expect an icy theme for the holiday season.

The rest of the stream features a basic rundown of what Quan Chi and Khameleon are capable of, so make sure to check it out if you want to know more details about them.
