Limited-time menu drops Oct. 22 along with a social-media giveaway of ¥1,000 cards

McDonald’s Japan and Street Fighter collaborate for the "Street Burgers" menu launching October 22, featuring characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, and M. Bison in new burgers inspired by Street Fighter. Along with the menu, a social media campaign runs from October 16: followers on @McDonaldsJapan on X who reply with #LimitedTimeStreetBurgersFromMcDonalds enter a lottery. One hundred winners get ¥1,000 gift cards, Prizes ship starting late November.

This kind of cross-promotion is not new for McDonald’s Japan, which has previously run collaborations with gaming and pop culture franchises. The “Street Burgers” campaign stands out, however, for blending fast food with a fighting game IP and coupling it with a digital giveaway.

Fans of Street Fighter or novelty burgers may find it worth keeping an eye on their timelines this week—both for the menu drop and the chance to grab a free gift card.
