This event has only helped grow Street Fighter 6's popularity
As part of the ongoing collaboration between McDonald’s Japan and Street Fighter 6, players can now get a special Outfit 2 for M. Bison (known as Vega in Japan).
The outfit features Bison decked out in McDonald’s signature red and yellow colors, complete with an off-white pair of pants and bright red “moon boots.” It’s a bold, playful look that feels right at home for such an iconic villain.
This collaboration has already generated a ton of buzz, marking Street Fighter 6’s first major crossover with a global brand. It also highlights just how wildly popular the game has become in Japan. Alongside the in-game content, McDonald’s Japan is offering Street Fighter 6-inspired burgers and meals, creating a fun blend of gaming culture and fast food.
The new Bison costume will only be available for a limited time and will disappear from the store once the campaign wraps up.
Since its 2023 release, Street Fighter 6 has exploded in popularity across Japan, fueled by community-driven events like the Crazy Raccoon Cup and Reject Fight Nights, which paired fighting game pros with popular streamers from other genres. The result has been a massive growth in visibility for the scene.
Even traditional esports broadcasts have felt the impact. Street Fighter League Japan now regularly runs offline matches with live audiences and public watch parties. Some sports bars have even begun showing league matches on their screens, a testament to how much the game has become a full-blown cultural event.
