Marie's Alpha Build Now Available for Steam Players

After months and months of waiting, fans can now have a taste of the latest character in Skullgirls, Marie as she is now available to be played on Steam. 

The character is the final boss of the game and was first announced to be a playable character back at Evo 2022, and now, over a year later, we are getting ever closer to having her in the full game. Her playable Alpha is now available on Steam for Season 1 Pass holders.

Marie is a character from Canopy Kingdom who came into possession of the Skull Heart and eventually became the Skullgirl. But, unlike many of the previous Skullgirls, Marie still retains a semblance of herself and is able to work in concert with the Skull Heart to bring vengeance against her enemies. She is antagonistic to the Medici Family who are largely responsible for her suffering. 

Her best friend is Patricia who became Ms. Peacock. She is also the one responsible for wiping out the Last Hope, a black ops group of which Valentine was the sole survivor. The two now work together. Marie doesn't have a parasite like everyone else, but she does use a skeletal minion to do her bidding. 

Her full version release is still unknown, but this far into her development, we can expect to hear some news soon.
