Machabo Completes Quartet For Detonation FocusMe SFL Japan Team
Mr. Optimal joins the team for the new season

Detonation FocusMe who took 2nd place at last season's Street Fighter League Japan grand finals after losing to FAV Gaming, have announced their full squad for the 2024 season.

The team has kept a steady team featuring Itabashi Zangief, John Takeuchi, and Nauman usually adding one player to join their settled dynamic. This year they have done the same thing adding Machabo to the team to complete the quartet for the tournament.

Detonation FocusMe have endured some pretty poor seasons, but pulled off one of the most incredible runs last season after losing an insane number of matches in the first half, they only managed to scrape by and join the other 5 teams for the second half. Once there, they enjoyed an upturn in form winning match after match ultimately making it to the playoffs and defeating Saishunkan Sol to make Grand Final where they lost to FAV Gaming.

A huge part of that success was due to the addition of Fuudo as a team member and Tachikawa as a coach.

Machabo is a great addition to the team as he has a lot of experience with SFL Japan, and has been something of a journeyman ending up with a different team every season. Last season, he pitched his tent with Gyogun (who have disbanded but all the Street Fighter players are under VARREL now) and did well with them.

Street Fighter League Japan will resume in July with a new format where there will be 2 leagues with 6 teams each with the top two in each league making it to the playoffs.
