Lux and Samira Are Coming to 2XKO in 2026
Ok this roster is actually starting to look pretty good.

The layoffs earlier this year had people painting a fairly grim future for 2XKO, and not without reason, given that on whim Riot can end programs like Forge and axe massive projects, but it seems like the inevitable demise of 2XKO was greatly exaggerated.

After the recent double drop with Senna and Thresh, the game is already promising another duo later this year with Lux and Samira. Though it's not clear if they will actually release at the same time.

Most of the footage here focuses on Lux, who is perhaps further along in development and might release sooner. As you might expect, there is a big emphasis on her light powers, but surprisingly enough it seems like didn't want to turn her into yet another zone. While Lux has projectile attacks, we also see her use the light powers a lot more aggressively, including a dive kick and a fairly interesting set-up that fires off a vertical laser. Also good to see that we have a new addition to the family of rich white girl sweeps.

By comparison, Samira only gets a title card, but with the current cadence of releases, it's probably not long until we see her in action. Given how she's already a rather unique and combo heavy character in the MOBA, it's interesting to see how 2XKO devs will reinterpret her kit for a fighting game.
