The former Evo champion is now a free agent
It has been announced that one of the great Guilty Gear players is now a free agent.
Abdullatif "Latif" Alhmili is one of the veterans of the FGC and his return to the scene in 2021 was a huge deal as he came back with a new physique but the same dominance in the Guilty Gear scene. He was soon snapped up by NASR Esports and was a part of their roster until yesterday when they announced that he would no longer be a part of the team.
NASR posted about this on their social media and they thanked Latif for all his endeavours with the team.
Latif had made an earlier announcement on the 1st of January saying that he is now a free agent. No reason has been given for the split.
Latif burst into the scene in a major way in 2011 when he played Street Fighter IV with C.Viper and was the runner up in Evo 2011 where he took down Daigo and Tokido before losing to the champion that year, Fuudo.
Latif primarily plays Guilty Gear where he won his Evo title in 2009. He came out of retirement for Guilty Gear -STRIVE- where he won several tournaments and was part of one of the closest money matches against Hotashi.
Latif will be hoping to be picked up by a new time where he can continue to shine brightly as one of the greats of Guilty Gear.
