Dedication of the Smash community impresses me quite a lot. Despite not having full (and well-deserved) support from Nintendo, such guys as Hungrybox carry the esports dimension of this platform fighting game on their shoulders. And it feels like every controversial step of the company leads to something exciting organized by the players.
In one of their official posts, Nintendo confirmed the end of online services for their previous consoles, the 3DS family and the Wii U. These systems have the game Super Smash Bros. 4 (technically, two games), which move to the single-player-fun-only mode.
Not much can be done about it. But Hungrybox offers something interesting even in such a situation. The player and content creator has announced a Smash 4 Coinbox with $3,000 in the prize pool.
