Historic Recurring Tournament Game Center Xanadu Closes its Doors

Xanadu, best known for its recurring Smash competitions, has confirmed that it will close its doors on December 31st, 2024. In an X post today, Aposl announced the news, stating that, unfortunately, the closure is out of their control, as the venue has chosen to vacate the location.

Xanadu has been showcasing some of the best talent in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia for years, with many of the recognizable voices of Smash today have resonated through its halls. Although Aposl states that it is unlikely they will find a new venue where to run operations, he does not deny the possibility of it in the future.
