Harada Plans Tekken Discussion To Help Fix Tekken 8 Problems
With the backlash against Tekken 8 S2, Harada is looking at solutions

Tekken 8 season 2 is not even out yet but there has been a lot of discussion and some negativity surrounding it.

To that end, Katsuhiro Harada, the main man behind the Tekken series, has announced that he would be instituting a discussion as to how to help fix the game and meet up with fan expectation.

He mentioned this on X, while responding to a commenter.

He said, "In any case, regarding the recent increase in discussions among players, I have personally initiated an urgent discussion and asked the team to deliberate on how to respond."

He added, "Regardless of the player's title, I take this as an opinion from the TEKKEN fan community.

"Of course, I will analyze which group (from beginners to advanced players) is expressing that opinion. I will also consider whether the opinion comes from the majority or a minority.

"It's not necessarily true that the opinion of advanced players is always best for the game (for example, if that were the case, TAG2 should have sold better and been more successful). On the other hand, just because an opinion is from a minority doesn't mean it should be ignored."

The talk surrounding the second season of Tekken 8 has been quite spirited and with the amplification of social media, it is easy to come to a negative conclusion.

That said, with Harada's willingness to listen to the community, and do it with nuance and respect, it can be expected that something good will come out of all of it.
