Evo France 2026 Sees Significant Drop in Entrants Across Major Games

Evo France is the last Evo event of the year.

The premier, which will be held next month, is also a pivotal stop for several top fighting game circuits. This includes:

• Street Fighter 6 - Capcom Pro Tour (Capcom Cup 13)

• Tekken 8 - Tekken World Tour Finals

• Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls - Arc System Works World Tour Finals

• Guilty Gear -STRIVE- - Arc System Works World Tour Finals

• Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising - Cygames Cup 2027

With such high stakes, the official Evo France account has released its final list of participants for the main games. Unsurprisingly, SF6 takes the top spot with 1,071 players, with Tekken 8 having 963 participants. There is a huge drop-off from there, with Tokon sitting at the third-highest with 471 entrants. Despite the bad news regarding 2XKO, it is still the fourth-most-entered event for Evo France with 311 participants.

According to this Reddit post, there seems to have been a drop-off in participation numbers across the board compared to last year’s event. SF6 dropped from 1,654 entrants, while Tekken 8 dropped from 1,156 participants. Meanwhile, Hunter x Hunter and Dragon Ball FighterZ, which were both on the main stage last year, have been replaced by Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game and Marvel Tokon. 2XKO is also making its debut at Evo France, bringing the total to eight games on the main stage.

Evo France will run from October 9 to 11, 2026.
