The game gets a new character, rollback netcode, mini-games, and more…

The biggest gathering of fighting games fans in the world — what could be a better place to share fresh announcements on new games and big updates? The developers of Granblue Fantasy Versus used this opportunity to inform the community about interesting features of the upcoming Rising update. The announcements are pretty exciting.

A new character — Grimnir

It’s the fourth addition to the roster. The others are Anila, Siegfried, and Nier.

A new gameplay trailer — for Nier

It’s a great chance to know the real fighting features of this character.

Enhanced visuals

The updated version of the game will look better. That includes images and animations.

New ranking system

The online ranks in GBVSR are different for different characters. It helps with the process of expanding your active roster — you learn someone new, and you face opponents of the same level as you are with this character.

More information in the Training Mode

The developers bring many practical changes to the practice activity. Frame Data is an important addition to serious competitors. Quick switching between Free Training and Combo Missions may also be really useful.

Rollback and Crossplay

It’s a feature every fighting game needs, but not all of them get. We at DashFight are glad to see Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising following the latest technical standards of the industry.

In addition to this, the game gets cosmetic items, which could be obtained thanks to Battle Pass. One of them is Gran's costume Guider to the Eternal Edge. The player will be able to enjoy various mini-games, and many of them have elements of the original game.

It is also worse to note that the player data will be partially transferred from the previous version to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.

What do you say? Do you like these changes?

We still don’t know the release date, but the fighting games industry offers quite a few awesome titles at the moment, so we certainly can wait for the GBVSR to be perfectly ready for the release.
