GBVSR: All the Trophies and Achievements Explained

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising has enjoyed a successful couple of days of release as fans have been enjoying the game in comparison to its predecessor. 

If you are a completionist, then you will immediately begin to hunt for all the trophies and achievements you can get your hands on. For Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, there are 48 achievements divided into 36 bronze trophies, 8 silver trophies, 3 gold trophies, and that one elusive platinum trophy that sets you apart from the 99% of the game. 

For the achievement trophies, there are a few things you could do that will definitely get you on your way

1: Arcade/Story/Versus Mode

If you play through the game’s fighting modes you will get your hands on a fair few trophies. The game’s story mode will take you through an immersive experience that will also help you with the basics of the game. If you then carry on with the arcade and versus mode, you will get to hone your fighting skills, while also getting to know the game’s characters much better. 

2: Jump Online

The game’s online mode is a whole new world from the delay-based netcode that characterized Granblue Fantasy Versus. This means that gameplay is a lot more intuitive and smooth thanks to the rollback netcode implemented. Now, you can jump online easily and play matches with players around the world.  As you rack up your experience, you will also get a handful of trophies.

3: Give Grand Bruise a Shot

Grand Bruise Legends is a feature unique to GBVSR where you can play various mini-games with your friends. So, think Fall Guys, but with fighting game characters. If you partake in Grand Bruise, you’ll also be able to get a couple of trophies.

4: Play the Game

There are many other features that will net you trophies. The game simply requires you to play it. There are features such as the Journal mode and the Figure Studio that allows you to create beautiful dioramas featuring the characters and setting of the game. 

If you can get through all this, you should be able to get all the achievements available.

Bronze achievements

These are the easiest ones to get and there are 36 of them. They are mostly given for defeating characters in the game’s story mode. Therefore, you can be sure that just by playing the game casually, you can get a lot of these trophies. 

• Gusting: Defeat Grimnir in part 3 of the story. This is one of the easier trophies to lay your hands on.

• Shades of Black:  Defeat Siegfried in the third part of the story.

• GG, Other me: Defeat Lowain’s powerful doppelganger in the third part of the story

• Brink of Midnight: Defeat Nier in the third part of the story.

• Endless Light: Defeat Licilius in the third part of the story

• My Blade Strikes True: Get 70 weapon skins and play on online match

• There’s More Where That Came From: Simply beat up the game’s AI on either normal or a higher difficulty in versus mode

• Training Will Never Betray You: Spend at least 30 minutes in training mode

• That’s How We Do It In Zinkenstill: Get into combo practise and clear 27 combos

• The Golden Ratio Stares me Right In The Eyes: Create and save 3 dioramas

• You Like These Types of Girls Right?: Create and save 9 dioramas

• This Should Come In Handy: Make use of the replay feature to watch one of your past games

• Just Positively Dashing: Obtain 200 character colors and play an online match

• Trophies? Hmph... Meaningless Trinkets: Obtain 35 trophies and play an online match

• This Badge Is Custom-Built: Set a large badge on your Profile Card and play an online match

• Daaang, Look at All Those Badges!: Reach 100 badges and play an online match

• Let’s Get You Changed: Purchase an avatar from the Rupie shop.

• Gotcha Covered!: Check out Grand Bruise Legends and make use of Vyrn as your avatar

• The Threadmaster: Post one thread in the guestbook

• What’s Up?: Just make use of a sticker emote or phrase online

• Always a Pleasure!: Make a purchase from the Rupie shop

• A Tale From Another Sky: Play Grand Bruise Legends

• Color Me Impressed…: Attain Legend level 10 in Grand Bruise Legends

• Driven Into Ecstasy: Level 50 in Grand Bruise Legends

• Aesthetics First: Make use of an equipped weapon skin in a match

• Time to Get Serious: Win 10 online matches

• Locked and Loaded: Pull off 100 Ultimate Skills

• Someone's Fired Up: Perform 100 raging strikes

• You Might Just Get Hooked…: Pull off 100 Raging Chains

• Offense and Defense in Perfect Harmony: Execute 30 Brave Counters

• I'm a Skybound Artist: Execute 100 Skybound Arts

• I Won’t Hold Anything Back!: Execute 50 Super Skybound Arts

• Where's My Hug?: Carry out 100 throws

• Finally, a Flash of Inspiration!: Use Lunalu

Silver Achievements

Now you start to get these ones when you have really gotten into the game and can handle yourself pretty well. There are only 8 of them and they will require you to get very deep into the story mode and clear the arcade mode. 

Here is a list of all the silver trophies you can get.

• Bon Voyage, I Love You: Get past chapter 81 in story mode

• Not Half Bad…: Beat arcade mode

• So Many Precious Memories: Unlock 50% of the illustrations in the Journal

• Hear That? That’s the Sound of Manhood: Access 50% of music in the Journal

• I Maintain the World’s Balance: Play an online match after obtaining 40 trophies

• May I Have This Dance?: Get a character to level 50

• Nothing's Impossible for Me, Sweetheart: Be victorious in 100 online matches

• I Won, You Lost! Hahaha!: Win 10 matches with Super Skybound Art

Gold Achievements

These are the big leagues and as there are only three achievements in this category, you know that those that get it are true veterans of the game. That said, there is one gold achievement you’ll get relatively early in the game and with some ease and that is the ‘All is Vanity’ achievement which you get for winning your first online match. 

• Singularities: Beat Beelzebub in Part 3 of the story

• I Underestimated You: Beat arcade mode including the hidden boss

• All is Vanity!: Win your first online match

Platinum Achievement

There is only one achievement in the platinum category and that is to obtain all trophies. This is a pinnacle reached only by true completionists. In previous versions of the game, this achievement was usually patched to include DLC characters and there is no indication that this will not be the same.
