Fuudo Qualified For EWC In Place Of ChrisCCH
Fuudo takes his place

Following the withdrawal of ChrisCCH from the Esports World Cup with his reason being a perceived misalignment of values, Evo winner and 9th place finisher at Capcom Cup 11, Fuudo, has taken his place.

ChrisCCH had qualified for EWC through Street Fighter League, as his team, FlyQuest, and every team that made it to the SFL world championship, had been given invitations for the EWC.

Also invited were the entire top 8 of Capcom Cup, but there was a space available due to AngryBird already being qualified for EWC through his SFL team. This meant that the players who placed 9th all fought it out for the spot. NL was the winner at that time, and Fuudo lost out.

So with ChrisCCH out, Fuudo gets the free slot.

Fuudo becomes the 8th Japanese player so far to qualify for the event, making it a pretty high number that could grow even more as tournaments take place.
