DashFight is Four Years Old!

DashFight is already four years old. For us, this time flew by in an instant. Fighting Games are something we’re extremely passionate about, and with all that’s happening in the industry, is it a wonder? We want to thank all of you for sticking with us through thick and thin. And not only with us – how this community supports each other is truly inspiring. So to our community, our viewers, the players, the talent, the tournament organizers, the developers, publishers, and everyone who is part of the FGC – thank you!

Tournaments & Events

Tournaments and events were always a highlight of what we do, our on-site coverage always included brackets, rankings, win rates, prize pools, and many other stats. In the past year, we covered:

Evo 2023

Evo 2023 was truly a watershed moment between what FGC was before, and what it is becoming. The first outing of Street FIghter 6, lots of new info about MK1 and Tekken 8, and incredible matches all around – this is what Evo 2023 was.

UFA 2023

Ultimate Fighting Arena is one of those events, where the incredible passion this community has for the fighting games shines especially brightly. In 2023, it hosted the last Power Event of the DBFZ World Tour 2023/2024 and held the second Global Offline Qualifier of the Pro Kompetition 2023/2024.

Evo Japan 2024

Evo Japan 2024 was our first taste of what the competitive Tekken 8 would look like at the highest level, and did it taste good. The sheer unpredictability was a sight to behold. But the other events were very solid as well, what a nice start to the year.

Disciplines

We live in the golden age of the modern fighting games. The Big Three are all here: Street Fighter 6 is as technical and incredible to watch as ever, Mortal Kombat 1 has new pro-level storylines, and Tekken 8 has some kings to dethrone by the new blood. The direction ArcSys took Guilty Gear -Strive- in was an inspired one, as the game is very popular to this day, and the old new boy on the block, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is not messing around either. What an incredible time to be a fighting game fan!
