CPT Offline Event In France Hit with Deluge of Disqualifications
Due to adverse weather conditions and competing tournaments, a lot less people were able to make the tournament

The Capcom Pro Tour offline event in France is underway and the action has been incredible to see so far. But, unlike the Singapore event which had about 500 competitors all around to play their games, the France tournament is missing a fair few number of players who have been unable to make it.

There are several reasons for this, for instance, a lot of Japanese players have been unable to make it due to adverse weather which has made travel impossible. Punk, who is in Japan, has been unable to leave due to bad weather. Meanwhile, Ryusei said he would be unable to make it due to worries over security

This is not to say that the Japanese contingent isn't strong over in France as the likes of Daigo, Fuubdo, Moke, and Kichipa have all made the trip, although, it should be noted that they had flown over much earlier and were therefore, not affected by the adverse weather conditions.

All this has led to a lot of disqualifications in the tournament so much so that some players were playing their first match in pools winners' final. This was the case with a French player called Aquarios who played Phenom in the winners' final in pools and had until that moment not playeed a single game as a lot of the players in his pool had been DQed.

Phenom won 2-0 by the way.

You can follow the action on Capcom Fighter's YouTube channel.
