Covid-19 Postpones Tekken 7 Season 4
Bandai Namco Esports
The new Tekken 7 Season 4 will arrive around Christmas

If the world had not been swept by the global coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Tekken 7 Season 4, along with the recently announced new character Kunimitsu, would be available now. But due to the slower tempo of the development team working from the remote, the release of the new update has been postponed for the end of 2020. Looks like it might be December.

"The head" of the Tekken Universe Mr. Katsuhiro Harada from Bandai Namco revealed that the development team is now “several months” away from release. The good news is that the team is having progress with their work on the game.

This became clear during the Tekken 7 Season 4 update discussion with Michael Murray.

"With COVID-19 still at large, our dev team members have been working mostly from home," said Harada. "Working on Season 4 has been tough, but we've been able to optimize our work compared to what we had back in May and June."

"The initial plan was to have [Season 4 new moves and balance adjustments] fully accessible for everyone now, but you know - COVID-19. We are a few months behind, but we'll do our best to get it to everyone as soon as possible," he added.

Earlier we analyzed what we would like to see in Tekken 8.
