Capcom have announced the tournaments that will form part of their pro circuit
Combo Breaker, one of the longest-running fighting game tournament series has been included in the list of destinations for the Capcom Pro Tour for the 2025 season.
This is along with seven other tournaments to make a total of 8 offline tournaments to be part of the circuit.
The announcement came at the very end of the Street Fighter League USA finals which had run overtime, so the announcement wasn't given the space that it perhaps deserved.
These offline tournaments will be the ones through which players will be able to qualify for Capcom Cup in 2026, and a lot of the space is taken up by Evo events. The tournaments that are in the circuit this year are as follows:
- Evo Japan
- Combo Breaker
- Community Effort Orlando
- Evo
- Evo France
- Ultimate Fighting Arena
- Blink Respawn
- Asia Premier 2025
This is the same number of offline events as was had this past season with a total of 10 players qualifying through this format. However, some of the tournaments that were there last time around will not be there this time including Cream City Convergence, East Coast Throwdown, and Kings Of The World. There is also one less Capcom premiere this time around.
It is unknown if there will be a change in how the regions are arranged as with the current state of information, we have 13 spots for the Capcom Cup for next season. These are the winner of the cup, all the members of the team that wins Street Fighter League World Championship, and the 8 winners of the tournaments listed.
This might mean fewer spots go to the World Warrior tournaments.
Capcom Cup will hold from the 5th to the 8th of March 2025.
