She might be scarier than you expected.
As usual Capcom has just uploaded the character guide for C.Viper, two weeks ahead of her release on Ocotober 15.
Many of you might be wondering if she's going to be quite as demonic as she was in Street Fighter 4. In her original game, C.Viper is somewhat of a poster child for high execution characters. She demanded a fair bit of both precision and dexterity, but you'd be rewarded with some of the most rewarding offense in the game.
Surprisingly enough, it seems like her identity is going to be very much intact in Street Fighter 6, and she's getting some more mechanics on top.
It seems like there is still a price to pay for keeping her strong offense tools. C.Viper marks a fairly interesting design decision for SF6, with her most powerful moves requiring a bar of drive gauge. She might just be the most taxing character in the game in terms of pure drive gauge management. On the upside, it doesn't seem like she's going to be quite as reliant on using DRC in her combos or offense, since some of her more powerful moves will be able to serve a similar purpose.
Between huge mixup potential, a versatile armor move, and really strong offensive options, she's shaping up to be a very strong character, at least on paper. In just two weeks we'll be able to see if she actually lives up to her SF4 legacy.
