Capcom Pro Tour North America East Results: One More To Go
The second strongest region in the world saw a tense finale

The second strongest region in the world behind on Japan duked it out to see who was the best and only one man would make it to Capcom Cup. With over 600 entrants that included some of the very best in the world when it comes to Street Fighter, the tournament featured Punk, iDom, NuckleDu, Bananaken, Naji, and so many others.

At the end, NuckleDu stood atop all the bodies as the one to make it to Capcom Cup and he joins MenaRD who qualified through the World Warrior series.

This leaves Punk, iDom, Bananaken and everyone else who wants to make it to the prestigious tournament with the option of the Last Chance Qualifier. But, considering the pedigree of players who will be there, it isn't going to be easy for anyone who wants to qualify through that route.

NuckleDu had to come from losers' side to first reset the bracket against a dominant Bananaken before, winning the second set to lock his place in the biggest prize pool ever seen in fighting games.

Top 8 already had a few surprises with iDom not making it past top 16 after losing to Ramon, a Modern Chun li user. Punk was in losers having been sent there by a former roommate, Psycho. Meanwhile, winners side had former Capcom Cup winner NuckleDu, Bananaken, 16-year-old prodigy, Paladin, and Naji, who has been killing it in tournaments ever since the advent of Street Fighter 6.

Bananaken started things off with an impressive win against NuckleDu sending him to losers' early. In the next match, Paladin, who was using the underutilized Ryu, was only narrowly defeated by Naji.

In the losers' side, Punk, who seemed quite upset that he was facing a Modern player, made short work of Ramon, defeating him 3-0 which can perhaps be seen as revenge for iDom who lost to the same player.

The final losers' match saw FluxWaveZ narrowly win against Kami and his Luke.

The next round of games saw one of the most remarkable things which was Paladin, defeating Punk 3-0 to move on to the losers' semi-final.

In winners' final, Bananaken defeated Naji, but it was not even remotely easy as Naji's Juri is one of the meanest on the streets. Considering JAK is typically known as the Juri guy, Naji might give him a run for his money.

It was from this point that NuckleDu went on an absolute tear as he defeated FluxWaveZ, Paladin, and Naji, 3-0 to earn the runback against Bananaken who was waiting patiently in Grand Finals.

NuckleDu got the win and was quick to credit both MenaRD and Punk as people who really helped him win against Bananaken.
