As the dust begins to settle from the just-concluded Street Fighter League USA, a few controversies have emerged.
In particular, pro player, NuckleDu took to social media to call out Capcom Fighters for their editing as it seemed there was a little altercation after the final match between Bandits and Fighting Spirit. In that match, MenaRD was able to defeat NL to book his team's place in the playoffs, and as soon as Mena landed the final hit, he popped off, taking off his shirt and throwing it in the direction of Shopify Rebellion (from 2:50:59), the team they qualified in place of.
NuckleDu stated that the editing team cut out the part where he confronted Bandits for what he termed as 'disrespect' considering his team had just lost a spot in the playoffs. He also took issue with it saying that it made his team look soft, and incapable of standing up for themselves.
He wasn't the only one, as teammate, Sayff, also chimed in as the shirt toss seemed to hit him. He stated that while he is prepared for trash talk, heckles, and other forms of aggression common in the world of esports, he was unhappy the physical nature of the shirt toss.
