About Topanga Concept
The Topanga Concept series dates back to 2011, beginning with a legendary long-set showdown between Daigo Umehara and Korean superstar Poongko during the Street Fighter IV era. The defining idea behind Concept Matches is simple: extended sets between players with history, legacy, or narrative significance within the FGC.
In 2024, the event spotlighted rivalries and generational clashes, including Tokido vs Mago, as well as Kobayan vs Hikaru, two rising stars often described as the future of the Japanese fighting game scene and known for their strict character specialization.
Event Details
The Topanga Concept Match 2025 will take place on December 27, 2025, at the iconic Tokyo Tower.
