Arcsys Reveals Their Top 50 Games as Voted by Fans
You might some of these results surprising!

In celebration of their 35th anniversary — which happened way earlier this year — ArcSys have been running a poll that asked their fans, which Arc System Works game is their favorite. Now, at Tokyo Games Show 2023, they finally unveiled the results of this poll at their panel, which you can watch in the video below.

The Top 10 is as follows:

  1. Guilty Gear -Strive- with 2,518 votes
  2. BlazBlue Centralfiction with 2,363 votes
  3. Guilty Gear XX series with 2,203 votes
  4. Guilty Gear Xrd series with 1,960 votes
  5. Escape Adventure series with 1,803 votes
  6. Jake Hunter series with 1,512 votes
  7. Digital Holmes with 629 votes
  8. Kunio-kun series with 612 votes
  9. Wizard's Harmony series with 526 votes
  10. BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle with 464 votes

The top result is very much expected. Guilty Gear -Strive- is the newest and by far the biggest entry into the series, with ASW doing a great job of promoting the game and attracting new players. However, everything else? Now that's a mix-up. It's nice to see BBCF and XX series so high up despite their seemingly niche status, and Xrd being just slightly behind is a sign that the majority of ASW fans come primarily from fighting games, despite their extensive history of publishing other titles you see on the list.
A large chunk of the top 10 is taken up by relatively obscure games that rarely, or in some cases never, made it out of Japan. Perhaps they could enjoy reception in the west as well, if ever localized. We'll leave you with a quick recap of the top 20 as well, and if you want to check out more results, follow this link to ASW official results page.
