The Tekken 7 pro player has joined the likes of Oil King, Fergus and Rewind
One of the biggest names in the pro-Tekken 7 circuit, Hoa "Anakin" Luu, has joined one of the fastest-growing teams in the fighting games esports scene, Team UYU. The announcement was made at the end of UYU's podcast, GOT UYU, which had Anakin on as a guest. Subsequently, both parties released tweets about their union with Anakin stating that it was a huge announcement and that he was excited to get the second half of 2021 started in the best way possible.
Anakin has been off the competitive scene for a while, as his last major tournament was in 2019. However, he remains one of the top players for Tekken 7 in the whole world. By teaming up with Team UYU, he joins the likes of Rewind and Fergus, who were participants in the recently concluded WePlay Ultimate Fighting League.
Anakin remains a Red Bull athlete, and he joins the growing number of pro players who are contracted to both Red Bull and other esport entities. Other examples include teammate Oil King, who was recently announced as a Red Bull athlete, Arslan Ash, and others.
We wish Anakin all the best in this new endeavor.
