Today 2XKO makes the switch from its invite only beta to the Early Access, effectively marking the games true release. For those who haven't yet played it, the more specific changes won't mean much, but you get access to a more fleshed out version of the game and new content.
Early Access will have 11 characters (up from 9), two new stages, frame data bar, combo trials, and of course, the store. They ever prepared a prefty nifty graphic that quickly summarizes the additions and balance changes.
For those curious about monetization, the system appears to be similar to other Riot titles. You can acquire all characters for free, but there are some caveats. Your options for getting new characters include:
- 1 Champion Token (a few will be given to you for completing the tutorial and new player missions).
- 10,000 credits, which are 2XKO's F2P currency. There is also a 3 week period when new champions can't be bought with credits.
- 1,000 KO Points, which are the premium currency.
- Ultra Battle Pass.
- Recruitment Event - a sort of free Battle Pass that will launch with new champions and allow you to get them for free before the 3 week period is up.
