2XKO Developers Explain Warwick’s Kit in the New Dev Update Video
Somehow, Sabrewulf returned.

Warwick is the newest addition to 2XKO's roster. The 11th launch character, instead of the initially expected 10. A fairly popular character in his own right, people only found him more interesting after ties to Arcane, so there has been a fair bit of hype around the release.

The obvious expectation for a character like him is some feral rushdown with relentless offense, and it seems like that's exactly what developers had in mind when designing his moveset.

As a beast going for prey, one of the defining features of Warwick is his agility and movement. His S1 by itself does quite a few things. With just a press you will go into a leaping overhead, while holding it will lead into a projectile invulnerable run. Hold forward before holding S1, and the run will end in a headbutt that can interrupt your opponent.

Crouching S1 is where it gets even more interesting, as Riot pretty much gave Warwick a demon flip. Pressing down S1 will send him into the air, and from there you can choose one of 4 options. Tapping up will cancel the flip, light will go into a divekick, medium will go into a swipe that can cross-up, and heavy is a command throw. All attack follow-ups can potentially lead into a combo, so that's a lot of pressure from just one special. Following the character inspirations, he can also hang onto walls, almost like Chipp Zanuff, and from there you also have access to those same 3 attack options.

Pressing S1 in the air will lead into something similar to a divekick, with a very fast descending slash, which perfectly sets you up for his S2 special, which consist of violent swipes. It starts with two, but pressing it up to two additional times will allow you to do two more slashes, both on the ground and in the air. The only other move on his 2 is another throw, a bite that will fling opponents into the air, and if you cancel the recovery, it can lead into a bigger combo.

The real cherry on top of his kit is the bloodlust mode that fills up as you use the S2 specials. Once it activates, Warwick all around becomes faster and more powerful, with heals on his . The projectile invulnerable run is now more like a dash in uppercut that can lead into a wallbounce, while the grab gets additional slash attacks and tosses enemies away from you. Most importantly though, this mode allows you to cancel specials into specials. However, keep in mind that the new moves and cancels will remove a decent chunk of bloodlust.

His S1 super is also sort of like Chipp's Zensei Rouga. It's a long range leap that can be done on the ground or in the air, and will lead to Warwick flinging opponents into the air and running through them with his slashes, until eventually taking them down to the ground with the final attack. Meanwhile, S2 is a straightforward series of slashes, but it does give you the bloodlust resource. Finally, his Ultimate. This attack can hit OTG, but it can also serve as a pretty expensive way to activate bloodlust and even restore a decent chunk of health.

For assists, he can come in with the running headbutt, leap in for a big uppecut launcher, or you can use the super assist that will have him perform his S2 super.
