2XKO Confirms End of Community Communication & Final Tournaments
It seems it is curtains for Riot's first fighting game

The Weekend Warmup was a weekly blog post created by Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief for 2XKO, and yesterday, the last one was published. The post focused on what the community could do to keep supporting their individual communities and the FGC as a whole.

However, there was also some information regarding 2XKO, with Forbes stating that the game's social media channels will go silent from today. In the future, there will be a few bug-fix patches, but that will be the end of 2XKO as we know it.

As mentioned previously, 2XKO servers will remain online, and there will still be two tournaments that will go ahead as planned: Battle Coliseum and MINDSET 2026, which are a Major and Challenger event, respectively.

While the news of the end of active development and content for 2XKO has been difficult for the community to take, it is also clear that the developers have done their best to make the transition as smooth as possible.

The team members who haven't been laid off will move on to other projects within Riot Games, and the community can keep 2XKO alive by continuing to engage with it. Sett and Samira were the final characters released back in October, bringing the total number of characters in the game to 18.

2XKO will remain free to download on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox.
