Neco-Arc

Story

A mysterious creature that looks like a cat but isn't one at all, bearing a passing resemblance to Arcueid, though it is unknown whether the two are related. She sometimes appears in the mortal world as a sort of personal pastime. Now, she has appeared on the fighting stage again in an invasion of the Melty Blood universe, accompanied by powerful characters from parallel worlds, drawn inevitably by her destiny.

Personality

A joke character, Neco-Arc is known as the biggest small-fry from the Great Cat's Village and one of the Twenty-seven Cats. She often speaks in non-sensical, sometimes disturbing references and meta jokes. Like her original counterpart, she enjoys tormenting Miyako Arima. However, she is not used to dealing with someone pure-hearted yet serious, like Mash Kyrielight.

Playstyle

She is a small gimmicky zoner/rush-down hybrid character with laser beams, summon-based set-play, and unconventional movement. Neco-Arc's game plan involves controlling the screen with her projectiles and summoning moves, only to find opportunities to get in or capitalize off an advantageous summon.

Neco-Arcs' attacks have low range, while her special attacks are mostly ranged. This can make her a challenging pick against skilled opponents: she has the lowest health in the game, meaning that characters with high damage output or good conversions can and will punish her mistakes harshly if they can catch her. As a secondary effect of her small size, her normals are also incredibly short-ranged, kneecapping her neutral and defensive game. Some attacks won't hit Neco-Arc for being small. Finally, the randomness of her summons, even with some understanding of their underlying mechanics, can make it tricky for her to get the tools she needs on demand.

She is a pint-size cat girl parody of Arcueid Brunestud.
