Biography
Story
Tizoc, also known as The Griffon Mask or The Griffon, is a Mexican pro wrestler and one of Fatal Fury’s purest hero characters. He debuted in Garou: Mark of the Wolves as a “wrestler of justice,” fighting for his fans and especially for children who look up to him. His full real name is unknown, as he lives almost entirely through his masked wrestling persona.
Tizoc’s wrestling gimmick is not just a performance. He acts the same way outside the ring, speaking loudly, posing dramatically, and treating every fight like a chance to prove that justice still has a very large, very loud bodyguard. His love for children and his dislike of illegal wrestling moves are core parts of his character.
In Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Tizoc returns to the ring after stepping away for a time. The cheers of children push him back into action, and he makes a personal promise to lift the spirits of one young fan in particular. For Tizoc, wrestling is not only about winning matches. It is about giving people someone heroic to believe in, ideally while powerbombing someone through common sense.
Appearance
Tizoc is an enormous masked wrestler with a muscular build. He wears a red, white, and black griffon-themed mask with large feather-like details, matching red wrestling tights, gloves, boots, and gold accents. His design is built around the image of a heroic luchador, but exaggerated to Fatal Fury levels.
He is not subtle, and he is not supposed to be. Tizoc looks like a children’s superhero, a wrestling main event, and a gym safety violation all at once.
Gameplay
Tizoc is the main grappler of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. His game plan is built around powerful command grabs, strike-throw pressure, hard knockdowns, and scary okizeme after he gets close. Justice Hurricane is one of his central tools, while Big Fall Griffon gives him a high-damage grab super with instant startup.
He is not only a throw character, though. Tizoc has long-reaching normals, strong pokes, lunging strike specials, and several ways to force opponents to respect his pressure. When he lands a hit or a throw, he can often turn it into a hard knockdown and make the opponent guess again.
His biggest weakness is getting in. Tizoc is very slow, has limited mobility, relies heavily on patience, and often needs REV meter to defend or secure stronger offense. He can also struggle with anti-airs against close jumps and hops. Once he gets momentum, though, he becomes terrifying fast.
