Biography
Story
Mr. Big is one of the original bosses of Art of Fighting and one of SNK’s long-running South Town crime figures. He was introduced as a major underworld boss, working in the same criminal ecosystem as Geese Howard while building his own power through intimidation, money, and violence. SNK Wiki places him as one of Art of Fighting’s main antagonists and later a recurring The King of Fighters character.
In Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Mr. Big returns as the ruler of Port Town. With Geese gone, he sees a chance to take South Town for himself, and Rock Howard’s sick mother being under his watch gives him extra leverage over anyone connected to the Howard family.
Mr. Big is older now, but he has not softened into a harmless retired gangster. He is still arrogant, calculating, and dangerous, carrying himself like a man who believes every room already belongs to him. He does not enter South Town’s new conflict for honor or self-discovery. He wants control, because apparently one crime empire is never enough. Very healthy ambition.
Appearance
Mr. Big is a tall Australian man with a bald head, white facial hair, and dark sunglasses. In City of the Wolves, he wears a long purple coat over a red shirt, tan pants, black gloves, jewelry, and a pair of special rattan sticks. His new design makes him look older and heavier than his classic Art of Fighting appearance, but still immediately recognizable as Mr. Big.
His look is pure crime-boss excess: expensive clothes, sharp colors, and weapons he carries like fashion accessories. Subtlety was never invited.
Gameplay
Mr. Big is an aggressive mid-range character who uses long-reaching staff and baton attacks to harass opponents before forcing dangerous close-range mix-ups. Dream Cancel describes him as a strong poking character with cancellable far normals, Ground Blaster pressure, anti-airs like California Romance, and Silat Parry to discourage predictable approaches.
His main strength is how quickly his poking game can turn into real damage. Once he gets close, Mr. Big has plus frames, lows, an overhead, a command grab, strong okizeme, and high-damage routes when he has resources. His weakness is that he can struggle against zoning and lacks a true meterless invincible reversal, so he has to work harder when he is forced to defend.
