In the Ivaldic forge song, the people once sang, “Fire burns and bellows churns, Then hammer rings and anvil sings, Fierce metal gleams and Maker beams.”
The original master craftsmen of Asgard are no one other than the Sons of Ivaldi, being the first as well as the best of all smiths. Since the conception of the world itself, Ulgrim has crafted and designed the highly exceptional artifacts in the Great Forges.
A pair of Dwarven smiths from Nidavellir, only recently starting, stole the son’s place of high regard due to Loki and his intense gambling habits as they made the hammer for Thor himself. Even though the handle was quite botched by the dwarves, the new smiths still celebrated in their glory, even though the only part of the hammer that needs skill and talent to craft is the handle itself. The rivalry between both the dwarves and the sons would last for centuries upon centuries, constantly trying to outperform their opponents.
Comets came and shot down onto Asgard; the gods turned to no one other than Ulgrim for assistance in their needed rebuild. For many years, he’d gather and harvest hundreds of impossible items that no one even knew were possible including, a dragon’s heart that was still set ablaze, the core of a dying star, Aesinite from a completely different realm. To Ulgrim, no material was too rare or too difficult to collect. The Sons’ name was finally fully restored in a suit of pure golden armor.
Now competing in the Grand Tournament, Ulgrim wields his flawless Ivaldi creations and proves the prowess and perfection with each of his victories. When not in combat, he can be found either harshly bickering with Scarlet or keeping his eye on Orion and sticking close to him. Some say he watches him out of pride; others say he worries that the armor may fail.
Ulgrim wields the Axe as his primary weapon and the Rocket Lance as his secondary weapon.
The Axe is a slow but very menacing weapon. Its attacks are fantastic for knockback as well as large bursts of damage.
Rocket Lance is a weapon with a metal edge and a rocket booster at the end, often used by many legends for sharp attacks at mid-distance or fast movements.
Ulgrims stats are well above average, with his defense excelling over his strength and dexterity by a small margin, though high his above-average stats, his dexterity is severely lacking.
