For a while now, there have been some news of a Helltaker fan game being in production. It's being made by Kyo-hei, who fans of Helltaker might know from his amazing fan comics. One of which reached 3.5 million views on YouTube.

His fighting game project is called Hellversus, and until now, we only really saw glimpses of it for the past few years, but now you can finally go ahead and download the demo of it on itch.

At the moment, there are only two characters available, but for what appears to be a solo-dev effort, this is extremely remarkable. Aside from a few rough points that are expected from a work-in-progress game, it offers fantastic visuals and gameplay that should feel familiar for people who are into anime fighters.
