Yatagarasu: Enter the Eastward Trailer Is Out
Don't expect too much, it's more of a two-minute teaser...

Yatagarasu team has released their short trailer for the unexpected continuation of the game. Presumably, this is also what people would see during the CES, alongside the demo available on location.

If you were hyped up for this, I'm sorry to cool you down, but we got no gameplay. It's just a montage of all the characters that will be in the game, not even their sprites either, just key art.

There is one thing of note here, however. One of the new characters for the sequel will be Sistan, a mascot character for Fantasista arcade in Okayama.

In case you're not familiar. The original Yatagarasu was an indie, crowdfunded fighting game that leaned somewhere close to 3rd Strike in terms of gameplay, with a fun little feature of live commentators from legendary players like Kokujin and Tokido, content creators like Maximillian, and even actual commentators like James Chen or UItraDavid. In a way, they predated Street Fighter 6 by quite a lot.

Yatagarasu received a rather warm reception in the fighting game community thanks to solid gameplay and sticking to the classic 2D sprites, but it's virtually unknown outside of our niche community.
