Last week in FGC was a real blast

Well, what can I say, last week in the FGC was a true feast of big news and stuff. Here on DashFight we gathered everything noteworthy right down below, so sit back and enjoy your newsfeed.

Finally, Tekken 8

Yes, Tekken 8 is coming, now officially. At the recent State of Play we bore witness to a full scale teaser trailer for the upcoming fresh title in the renown franchise. No release date, no new characters revealed, just the actual gameplay footage of an epic battle between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima, captured from PS5. Tekken 8 is developing on Unreal Engine 5 and will continue the storyline, started back in the original Tekken in 1994.

Street Fighter 6

Besides the huge announcement on Tekken 8, we also got a handful of news regearding the upcoming Street Fighter 6. First of all, Capcom revealed the full roster of the title with several completely new characters. They also provided some details on several game modes, like World Tour and Extreme Mode, and announced a closed beta, which will take place on Octover 7-10 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam). Well, now is a really good time to be a fighting game fan. 

Strive Developer's Backyard

ArcSystemWorks released another volume of Developer's Backyard, where they shared some info regarding current state of the Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, Bridget's official gender, upcoming updates, and title's sales, which is currently over one million copies. You can read through the full article here on the official website. Also, it's been confirmed that Guilty Gear -STRIVE- will become a part of Xbox Game Pass somewhere around Spring 2023.

The Birds documentary

NASR Esports released a short documentary about their most renown Street Fighter players - BigBird and Angrybird. The documentary is focused on player's recent trip to Evo 2022 with some backstage footage and interviews. You can watch it through the link down below.

The return of Fatal Fury

SNK announced in their Twitter, that the next Fatal Fury/Garou title is now officially in the making. According to Yasuyuki Oda, it won't be a Fatal Fury 2/Garou 2, but something more akin to the original game, with a lot of its developers involved in the work. 

Brawlhalla new crossover

The next portion of crossover skins will come to Brawlhalla on October 19, and this time it will be no other than Simon Belmont and Alucard from Castlevania franchise. Simon will be a skin for Jhala, while Alucard will transform resently released Ezio Auditore

REV MAJOR Philippines 2022

Last weekend REV MAJOR Philippines 2022 took place, featuring Tekken World Tour, Arc World Tour, and DBFZ World Tour tournaments. In total there were 12 disciplines to compete in, including Street Fighter V, Mortal Sombat 11, Smash Ultimate, and Soul Calibur VI. You can check the full results at the event's start.gg page. 

JeonDDing has won the Tekken 7 tournament, Fenritti came out victorious in Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Japanese player Gobou secured a Guilty Gear -STRIVE- win.
