New Year is up and running, and so is the fighting game community. DashFight is here again to briefly share everything important that happened in the first days of 2023.

Skullgirls Switch update

Skullgirls 2nd Encore received a big update for the Nintendo Switch platform, featuring many quality-of-life improvements and a Season 1 Pass.  

Project Leonardo from Sony

Sony announced Project Leonardo - a highly customizable accessibility controller kit for PlayStation 5, which is designed for players with disabilities so they'll be able to play a lot more comfortably and easily.

DNF Duel patch

DNF Duel received a small update 1.10 for Steam and PS4/PS5, that fixes the connectivity issue with Dragon Knight's "Dragon Breath", which has been discovered recently. 

CEOtaku 2023

Alex Jebailey on Twitter revealed that dates and locations for CEOtaku 2023 event are set and awaiting formal confirmation. The convention will take place on September 22-24 in Wyndham Orlando. The dates for CEO 2023 were also announced earlier during the Christmas weekend - June 23-25, with registration launches later in February.

Brawlhalla Esports Year 8

With the reveal of the upcoming Brawlhalla Winter Championship, another year of competitive Brawlhalla has been announced. Brawlhalla Winter Championship is featuring a $100,000 prize pool and will take place in February, with the Singles event set to take place on February 3-5 and Doubles on February 10-12.

Another Ranked season also started in Brawlhalla, introducing a new game mode Kung Foot, Soft Elo Reset, new rewards, and more. Be sure to check the official website for more detailed info. 

KOFXV new character

Shingo Yabuki, a fan-favorite character, will return with the start of The King of Fighters XV Season 2 on January 17, 2023. With the brand new trailer, SNK also revealed a couple more characters set to join the roster during this year, such as Kim Kaphwan, Sylvie Paula Paula, and Najd

A couple of days later, a massive update 1.62 has been released for The King of Fighters XV, featuring global balance changes and corrections to general mechanics.
