Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Snoop Dogg

UMvC3 mods had a bit of a resurgence in the last few months, as various modders started releasing very ambitious character replacements that revitalized the game itself. This time we have a mod from Xeno_TG that replaces Vergil's 5th color with Snoop Dogg. Complete with the voice replacement, blunt swords and smoke.

While this might seem out of the left field, Snoop Dogg is no stranger to fighting games. In the past, he appeared as a playable character in Def Jam: Fight for NY and was a background in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 stage, for which he composed an exclusive music theme.

King of Fighters XV

Ultimate Kyo

Calypso Dynamo has been featured in Mod Highlights before with his excellent Ultimate Ryo and Ultimate Robert mods, but their newest mod, Ultimate Ryo, is the most ambitious one yet.

Counting his new appearance in XV, this mod includes six different iterations of Kyo Kusanagi, featuring his outfits from KoFXIII, NESTS Chronicles, Orochi Saga, Maximum Impact, and Kusanagi (Clone Kyo).

Guilty Gear -Strive-

I-No Xrd Inspired

From Eljoseto comes a highly detailed I-No mod that gives her an outfit that's closer to her Xrd appearance while maintaining a few parts of her Strive look.

Unlike many mods that copy the older models flat out, Eljoseto created new assets from scratch, adding many nice little touches that come together into an outfit that looks exceptionally natural, fitting well with other designs in the game.

MAYPOCALYPSE

The last mod for this week is an incredibly creative one. SDNW made a very unique and thorough May mod that reimagines her as a survivor in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Her outfit now resembles something you'd see in The Walking Dead or Mad Max, while her aquatic friends take a rugged appearance with exposed bones, see-through flesh, or many scars. Even the colors have so much going on. Some change the aesthetic entirely, while a few others make May look like a zombie or a mutant.
