VSFighting Returns After Over Two-Year Absence
The announcement has led to a lot of excitement with fans everywhere

The biggest fighting game tournament in the UK is set to return after an over 2-year absence. VSFighting, which last held in 2019 will make a comeback this August marking another step towards normalcy in the global FGC.

With offline tournaments returning all over the globe, the United Kingdom's premier event is perhaps the last of the really big tournaments to make a comeback. In a Twitter post from Electronic Dojo, the organizers of the event announced the return of VSFighting X in a flashy trailer which will cause some goosebumps in those who have been eagerly anticipating its comeback.

VSFighting X is set to feature:

  • Tekken 7
  • Street Fighter V
  • DBZF
  • Guilty Gear -STRIVE-
  • King of Fighters XV
  • DNF Duel
  • SoulCalibur VI

There was no mention of Mortal Kombat 11, but there will be community tournaments that will feature other games like 3rd Strike, USFIV, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and so on.

Interested individuals are encouraged to register and start getting ready.

Furthermore, VSFighting X is a certified tournament for both the ARC World Tour and the Tekken World Tour, therefore, competitors have an extra incentive to get in on the action.

Established in 2013, VSFighting has for so many years been the biggest event in England and has seen some of the best players in the world grace its stage. Due to the pandemic, the last event was in 2019 with Bonchan winning the tournament for Street Fighter V against Punk while Knee was the winner for Tekken 7 against LowHigh.

VSFighting X will hold from the 19th to the 21st of August 2022 at Millennium Point, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
