While the excitement for a full on sequel for Virtual Fighter is huge, that's not the only piece of great news for this fantastic 3D fighter series.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is also worth your attention, and I mean your immediate attention, because they are currently running the open beta where you can play some VF5 against other people and try out their implementation of rollback netcode.
The first impression so far are very positive, with many players noting that it appears to work and feel smoother than Tekken's implementation of rollback netcode. However, there is some real hype in the air right now, so the feedback might not always be reliable. As always, during these early stages, it's best to stay critical and attentive, because this is usually when developers will be playing closer attention to all the potential issues ahead of launch.
The game itself is also up for pre-order, with a special 20% discount on both Standard and 30th Anniversary Edition, which comes with extra customization options, all of Virtua Fighter music, and other bonus content.
