Nearly 5 years ago, they announced that they are working on a mobile version of Vanguard Princess. For the longest time, that project had little to no updates until last year, when it seemingly represented little more than Vanguard Princess assets being shoved into an Unreal blueprint with a heavy dose of AI-generated assets.

Now, they are releasing this mobile version of Vanguard Princess for PC. Not as a separate game, but as a DLC for Vanguard Princess.

Just from the trailer alone it should be obvious that they are heavily utilizing garbage AI animation and backgrounds instead of paying for artists to do produce something that would be worth looking at.

In spite of how overt it is, the AI use is not disclosed on their Steam page, but it's not too surprising to see this coming from eigoMANGA.

The company has previously claimed to have exclusive ownership of the Vanguard Princess IP, which they were later called out on and corrected to the IP being licensed to them by the original owner, with trademark and copyright in the USA, and usage rights in Japan.

This is, however, hard to confirm, since the original sole creator of Vanguard Princess, Tomoaki Sugeno a.k.a. Suge9, effectively had zero online presence in over a decade. For all we know, eigoMANGA could be abusing his absence to milk the franchise as much as they can while putting in minimal effort.
