Twitch gets a $327,067 fine in Korea
Streaming service stopped operating in the country

The Korea Times reports that the Korea Telecommunications Commission fined the streaming service Twitch for suspending its VOD services last year. The KCC determined that this undermined the interests of its users and determined the amount of 435 million won ($327,067) to be paid by the American company.

This is unrelated to Twitch’s latest decision to pull out of Korea altogether, although the Korea Telecommunications Commission did instruct the streaming service to set up the measures to be able to refund the users and protect their interests.
