Top Street Fighter 6 Players Are Already Moving Away From Yasmine
She has seen a 50% decline in legend rank representation

Today marks one month since the release of Street Fighter 6’s latest DLC, Yasmine. The first Filipino fighter to ever join the franchise is also the first character of the fourth season of the game and will be followed by two new characters in Arjun and Bosch, as well as a guest character in Tifa Lockhart.

Now that the dust has settled on Yasmine and the new balance patch she came with, we can start to see how she looks in the eyes of the top players of the game. According to data provided by Aliette Faye on X, Yasmine is seventh from the bottom for Legend rank representation in SF6.

Legend rank is the highest ranking position in the game, with only 500 positions available for every Master Rate period.

Yasmine’s decline represents a 50% drop from her release, where 26 players reached Legend rank with Yasmine. Now, that number has dropped to 13.

This fits with a common sentiment among a lot of SF6 players that Yasmine just isn’t as much fun to use as they had hoped, and while she’s strong, she isn’t top tier.

Other insights from Faye’s graph show an increase in popularity for Ken and Ryu, with the latter in particular receiving significant buffs to make him one of the most powerful characters in the meta.

The other end of the graph has the usual suspects, including Lily, Honda, and Manon. Interestingly, Marisa is currently the ninth most represented character in Legend rank. But at the top of the pile sits Luke, who, following his buffs, has become highly sought after once more, and we can expect to see him shine in the tournaments to follow.
