Geras' Gameplay Basics
Best Buttons
- S1: Basic, but +3F on block.
- D3: Good poke, better than D1 due to range.
- D4: Still better than D1 due to push.
- F2: Safe and has a good follow-up.
- F3: Great overhead, full-screen pushback on hit. However, it's unsafe.
- B1: 16F whiff punisher, can hit confirm into the follow-up.
- B4: Really good sweep.
Best Strings
- S1,2,2: Great meterless ender. Good way to recharge Kameo, and provides DB3 stacks.
- F1,2: Doubles as a projectile. Ender versions, with 1+3 at the end is good if you want to keep them close or avoid the side switch. But it has dangerous gaps.
- 2,1,2: On its own not great, but it has its uses with clones.
Specials
- BF1: Timestop, very similar to MK11, gives you the option to side switch as well. The amplified version gives you a bit more time to setup. Don't use D2.
- DF2: Command grab, does a different animation and extra damage on corners.
- DF4: Ranged attack that can be delayed and set to different ranges. Your opponent will launch to the opposite side of where they got hit. It can provide stacks for BD3, but it needs to fully complete.
- BD3: stacks up to three times for a special ranged timestop. The amplified version gives all three stacks at once, and carries over rounds. The moves DF4 & S1,2,2 also give it one charge on hit.
- If you amplify the timestop (with 3 stacks), you will go back 3 seconds and regain any health you lost. Good for getting out of combos.
- BF3: Can help you perform unsafe moves, as it will pull you back to the original location because of time, or because you got hit. But you will take full damage anyway.
- When amplified (costing 2 bars) time will freeze for a short while. During this time, you can input moves and your clone will perform them.
- DB4: Good wake-up attacks or anti-air. Armored when amplified. It also allows for some link combos.
- Fatal Blow: It has a side switch, and easy move into it is S4, BF1, then Fatal Blow.
