Tong Lee, founder of the award-winning tournament circuit Tampa Never Sleeps (TNS), has been announced as a new co-owner of the Collegiate Fighting Game Conference (CFGC).
TNS, founded in 2011, has become a staple of the fighting game community. Known for hosting high-profile tournaments and creating the hugely successful TNS Weekly, a daily online competition across multiple titles, the brand has built a reputation for consistency, professionalism, and grassroots passion. TNS events have been praised for their competitive integrity and community-first approach, making them a trusted name across the FGC.
The Collegiate Fighting Game Conference has been steadily growing as a hub for student competitors. Over the past few years, CFGC has organized tournaments featuring schools across the United States, giving college players a platform to showcase their talent while building teamwork and leadership skills. The conference has also been credited with helping emerging collegiate players transition into the wider FGC, acting as a bridge between campus-level competition and the global stage.
TNS and CFGC have collaborated in the past, but this new partnership takes their relationship to the next level. With added resources and structure, the goal is to help CFGC grow and scale to its full potential.
In its official statement, TNS emphasized that it has no plans for sweeping changes within CFGC. Instead, the focus will be on reinforcing and strengthening what CFGC is already doing well.
With these two respected organizations now formally united, all eyes are on how TNS’ influence will shape the growth and future of collegiate fighting games.
