Tokido To Be Inducted Into Evo Hall Of Fame

The Evo Hall Of Fame was introduced at Evo 2024 as a way to give respect and regard for the legends that have paved the way for fighting games over the years. In its inaugural run, both Justin Wong and Daigo Umehara, who have been multiple Evo champions, were inducted for their impact on the scene. 

While most famous for Evo Moment 37, Justin has been an incredible force for good in the community as he has run various tournaments, has created great content on his YouTube channel, and has even tried his hands at commentary. For his part, Daigo has also been a great catalyst for growth in Japan running tournaments, giving young players their chance at the game, and being a positive representative of the scene. 

The 2025 Evo series will have three new entrants into the Hall Of Fame the first of which will be Hajime Taniguchi otherwise known as Tokido. The multiple Evo winner has blazed a trail for others to follow and is not yet done competitively as he has qualified for Capcom Cup 11.

There are two more inductees which will be announced at a later date and will be recognized at Evo 2025 with their awards.
