Tier Lists are Toxic
You don't need them.

As we entered the age of engagement, tier lists became a standard practice and an ever-present part of the balance discussion. Just put out a list that says which characters are weak or strong, and you are bound to get lots of comments with people trying to correct placements or ask questions. Why? Because these lists are almost never accurate or informative in their own right.

What skill bracket did they have in mind? How much experience does OP have playing both as and against a certain character? What sort of metric did they use to define character strength? There are so many questions that when it comes to a "good" tier list, people usually talk about the ones that come with a 3-hour explanation video, and even then it's going to be full of very subjective information.

But is there truly no use for them? The real answer is complicated, but we tried to uncover it in our latest video.
