Thresh Joins 2XKO Merely a Day After the Weird Tease
Axl players looking out the window and asking themselves "why can't I have this?"

Yesterday, all the 2XKO employees pulled a pretty funny but odd character tease when all of them changed their names and profile pictures on X, and then posted the same message at the same time:

Why don't we make a deal, Senna?

Everyone immediately assumed that it probably refers to Thresh and him joining the game alongside Senna, who has major lore connections with the character. Hopefully the whole stunt got the desired result, because hilariously enough, it caused half the participants to catch suspensions for weird activity.

Riot didn't make us wait too long before confirming that it is indeed a teaser for Thresh being added to the game, meaning that we also get another double drop of characters, second one since release, and potentially a remarkable indicator of the game's health.

The character itself is what you might expect if you're familiar with his League of Legends version. There is major emphasis on his hook, which makes him similar to Axl Low in many ways, but Thresh also has a lot of his own distinct flair here thanks to ghost projectiles and a very unique tag mechanic.

The aforementioned deal referred to Thresh's ability to trap souls in his lantern, in this case, the souls of his assist partners. This makes for some extremely dynamic set-ups where you can send out the lantern and then switch to it for combos or mix-ups.

Both he and Senna drop on June 9, and with both characters promising fairly complex gameplay, we're bound to see something cool.
