We previously reported on The Rumble Fish + port/remaster releasing on consoles just last week. Well, now it's finally time for the game to grace the PC, and the Steam winter sale definitely seems like a good time for that.
It seems that developers have learned from their mistakes with the launch of The Rumble Fish 2, and the response on steam is what you might expect, with an enthusiastic review from netn10 who describes The Rumble Fish + as "It's... fine. Just fine."
Now that's some glowing praise if I've ever seen some. Among some of the course correction, they have decided not to sell Greed as a DLC character, though that was definitely very appropriate. Instead, the Steam page has old school konami-code style instructions for picking the character.
Jokes aside, The Rumble Fish is a fairly solid series of fighting games, with some really smooth animations, powerful impacts, and unique mechanics that make it feel like a distinct take on the genre. It is currently 10% off, so if you have no other targets for your shopping kart, it might be worth it to give The Rumble Fish + a try.
