Fighting games as a genre have a lot to offer, yet at the same time, we have some of the strictest conditions for what is or isn’t a fighting game. To a point where we had to separate arena fighters and platform fighters into separate categories.

However, in doing so, we tend to overlook some of the most unique takes on the genre that could present us with many new experiences.
