Tekken World Tour 2024 Announced

Bandai Namco announced the first details of the Tekken World Tour 2024. The new Tekken 8 pro circuit will start on April 13.

There are several big differences compared to TWT 2023. There will be two ways to qualify for the Final tournament of the tour. Similarly to TWT 2023, the best players of the Global Leaderboard will be invited to compete for the world championship. Global leaderboards will work the same way: the total points of one best Master+ tier tournament, two best Master tier tournaments, three best Challenger tier tournaments and four best Global Dojo tier events will go towards the ranking. On this side, the only big difference is that there will be two Master+ events. EVO Japan 2024 is promoted to the highest possible tier.

Also, the TWT 2024 Final Tournament will feature the best players of the Regional Leaderboards. Six Dojo tier events will contribute to the regional ranking, and only number one of the region will qualify for the world championship. 

It is also worth noting that, unlike Capcom Pro Tour, Tekken World Tour will not feature online tournaments - only offline events.
