One interesting detail that peaked through this post is the mention of Tekken's market share in Japan. If you've been following the Tekken news for a while, it's no secret that the vast majority of the series sales come from outside of Japan, this has been the case for a very long time now.
The last time we got a specific number was in 2016, where in a 4Gamer interview, Harada said that as much as 95% of sales come from overseas. Today, this number has grown to 97%.
It's important to keep in mind, though, that these numbers are not a sign of dwindling popularity in Japan, at least not by themselves. It simply indicates Tekken's rather expansive audience, which comes from all over the world.
Tekken World Tour, as always, served as another reminder of this, with Harada highlighting that without everyone coming together for this event, it could never be as exciting as it was.
